Welcome to Kitchen Witchery & Other Spells! Here is where you will find videos and blog posts about food from the pre-Columbian Exchange era (pre-1500s). When people say they don’t enjoy “Medieval Food,” we laugh because “Medieval Food” was so full of flavor and hearty, it provided the essential vitamins and minerals needed to get through a 12-hour work day! To prove just how tasty a pre-Columbian fare can be, keep in mind that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the menu for the Shire to be pre-Columbian, with three exceptions: Potatoes, coffee, and tobacco. And the Hobbits were known for their food and their eating!
We’re getting things set up, here. The Patreon is live, and we’ll be doing a video on YouTube, soon! Check out the Facebook page for the Live Stream archive! And go ahead and give us a follow on Instagram, too!
